What You Need

  • Steak sauce – 1 bottle
  • Raspberry jelly – 1/3 cup
  • Water – 3 tablespoons


Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan and heat them over low flame for a few minutes or until the jelly turns into a liquid. For extra flavour, toss in some finely chopped onion and garlic. Let it come to room temperature before serving with your favourite steak.

2. Sizzling Peppercorn Steak Sauce

What You Need

  • Red wine vinegar – 2 tablespoons
  • Chicken stock – ½ cup
  • Green peppercorn – 2 teaspoons
  • Double cream – 4 tablespoons


In a non-stick frying pan, pour the vinegar and bring to a simmer. Now add the chicken stock and let it boil over high heat. When the mixture is reduced to half, turn the flame lower.

Crush the green peppercorns coarsely with the back of a spoon or a knife and then add it to the pan. Stir thoroughly before adding the double cream. Simmer for 2 minutes or until the sauce starts to thicken.

What You Need
  • Olive oil – 1 tablespoon
  • Chestnut mushrooms – 6 (sliced)
  • Garlic clove – 2 (chopped)
  • Milk – 2 tablespoons
  • Double cream – 4 tablespoons
  • Wholegrain mustard – 1 teaspoon


In a medium-sized saucepan, pour the olive oil and heat over a high flame. Add the sliced mushrooms and fry until golden brown (about 5 minutes). Sprinkle the finely chopped garlic and add two tablespoons of milk. Stir thoroughly before adding double cream and mustard. Now reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer for about 3 minutes before serving.
